About Ami Elsius:

Trauma Healing and Self-Discovery Guide

Hi, I’m Ami Elsius. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to a deeper way of living—one that honours the body, mind, emotions and spirit as a whole. This calling has been my compass through life, guiding me to explore spiritual awakening, holistic health, and the mysteries of healing.

Over the years, I’ve immersed myself in meditation, yoga, healing work, retreats, and somatic practices. I’ve led circles, offered private sessions, and walked alongside others on their paths. From early childhood, I’ve had mystical experiences, intuitive insights, and direct moments of oneness and pure love—experiences that continue to shape how I live and how I guide.

From Trial to Transformation

My story, from dream to nightmare, to awakening.

My story is one of resilience. I began as a globe-trotting creative—managing luxury spas and working as a professional photographer with international agencies. But the lessons that shaped me most didn’t come from success. They came from losing everything.

What began as a dream of love and belonging turned into a cycle of abuse and loss. I was left with PTSD, disoriented and stripped of everything I loved and identified with.

I tried it all—therapy, the law of attraction, positive thinking, mantras, visualisation, even isolation—but none of it brought real healing.

In the silence of those darkest days, I began to see something clearly: healing doesn’t come from trying to escape pain—it comes from turning toward it. It was by meeting my trauma fully, and integrating every part of myself—mental, emotional, physical and spiritual—that the healing began.

This wasn’t just recovery. It was a homecoming. A return to something deeper and truer beneath all the survival strategies and pain. Even as life on the outside kept falling apart, I began to touch something stable within—a growing sense of peace, clarity and safety I had never known before.

The Injustice of Unhealed Trauma

Living in the aftermath of unhealed trauma is a profound injustice. No one should navigate life disconnected from their true self, ensnared by persistent feelings of anxiety and confusion, of not feeling at home, at peace, or safe.

As Your Guide

I integrate spirituality, modern science, psychology, and somatic practices. My approach is not tied to any one tradition or teaching but is a synthesis of diverse insights aimed at fostering holistic healing and authentic living.

“I recommend Ami because she eats the food that she cooks. She has tried the strategies and techniques that she is sharing. In contrast to me, that’s a clinical psychologist; I have not tried most of the techniques I recommend. I have read them in a book and done a workshop, whilst Ami has applied them in her own life. That’s a great strength.”

Vision and Mission

I am a dreamer, but I’ve seen the impossible become possible so many times in my life that I know miracles are real. I believe in humanity, in our ability to heal, and in the power we have when we come together. When we help one another, anything is possible.

I envision a world where awakening, healing, and transformation are within reach for everyone—a future where each person can navigate life’s storms with resilience, finding joy, peace, and purpose within. We are all connected, and every step we take toward healing brings us closer to a happier, more loving, secure, and just world, where no one is left alone, neglected, or traumatised.

Together, we can create a brighter future—one built on trust, compassion, and shared humanity, where healing is a right, not a privilege.

The Origin of “The Ami Effect”

The word Ami has a significance in all my 3 languages.

  • In Swedish it’s my name.
  • In English, “Ami” contains both the question and the answer: –Am I? –I am.
  • In Italian Ami means  “You Love”.

The Ami Effect is built on trust, empathy, and shared humanity. I believe healing should be a right, not a privilege—and I’m devoted to making this work as inclusive and grounded as possible, without ever compromising the depth, care, and presence it deserves.
